Where are you? ... Poof

A river flowing down tree lined banks.

When I called my upstairs neighbor, who was also my landlord, about a problem in the apartment, she said that she couldn’t come down because she was in a lot of pain. They had gone on a family outing to a small river the day before. She was out with the kids in the sun and the water all day. Now she had second degree burns down both legs from below the knee and on her feet. She could barely walk and couldn’t stand in one spot. We’ll call her Hannah.

The problem was that Hannah didn’t know any English, and my Hebrew was only slightly better than her English. Hannah knew that I was involved in healing. Somehow, I managed to get the message across that if she could find a translator, I could help her. A little while later a friend of hers called, speaking fluent English with a British accent. We worked out a time for the three of us to meet the next morning.

Since it was summer break, Hannah’s husband was able to watch the kids in their home the next morning. Hannah hobbled downstairs to my apartment and sat on the sofa with her legs up. Neither the translator or Hannah had any clue what to expect.

After getting the details of her pain I asked, “Can I start with some energy?” “Yes.” So I placed my hand above her right leg, which was the more painful of the two. After a couple of minutes she said that the pain was starting to get worse. This was my sign that it was time to continue.

After going through the QPR process twice she said that her right leg was feeling better, so I shifted my hand to be over the left leg. “I felt that” she said. Actually I did also, even though I hadn’t been doing anything with the energy.

In QPR the energy isn’t actually healing energy. We just use our natural flow of energy. The small shifts that the client feels gives them hope that a big shift can occur and the pain can go away. The magic is in the thought/questioning process which assists the client in shifting the emotions.

We found a third related emotion and went through the process a third time. After this neither leg was hurting. So of course I asked her to stand up and walk a bit. Walking was fine but some pain returned when standing. So we did one more round after which she could also stand. Her pain had gone down from a constant 8 with spikes to a 10, to a level 2 when standing. So we closed the session.

Around 45  minutes or so later I heard the family getting into their car. I assumed the father was taking the kids out for a while to give Hannah time to rest. Another half an hour later I received a call from Hannah, with kids happily yelling in the background. She wanted to thank me and couldn’t believe how much better her legs felt.

“Where are you?” I asked, baffled because the kids hadn’t come back home. “We went for a family trip to a nearby waterway.
